Milburn Willis Rogers was born the son of Newton Z. Rogers and Rendy Ivey Rogers on March 17, 1928, in Wirth, Ark.
He died Jan. 8, 2007, in Mammoth Spring, Ark. at the age of 78.
He was united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1949, in Mammoth Spring to Shirley Holloway who preceded him in death Dec. 25, 2001.
He enjoyed the outdoors, worked as a logger and sawmill operator for many years.
He is survived by six children, Charles Rogers of Paragould, Ark., Bobby Rogers and wife, Corita of Elk City, Okla., Brenda Holland and husband Allen of Brookland, Ark., Neal Rogers and wife Cynthia of Mammoth Spring, Peggy Rouch of Jonesboro and Linda Hembrey and husband Eddie of Walnut Ridge, Ark.; one special nephew, Mike Rogers and wife Kathy of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother, Cleo Rogers of Mammoth Spring; four sisters, Neda Collins, Lola Mills, Barbara Rogers and Mattie Hatwig, all of Thayer, Mo.; several nieces; nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilburn Rogers; one sister, Neva Watson and one infant sister.
The funeral services for Millburn Rogers were held on Jan. 12 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with the Rev. Robert Brown officiating.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
