Callie Smith is the recipient of the Spring River Lifeline and Medical Auxiliary Scholarship, awarded recently.
Callie Smith is a student at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she will be a junior this fall. She has been accepted into the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing. She is working toward a bachelor of science in nursing and plans to graduate in May of 2009. She was named to both the chancellor's and dean's list her freshman and sophomore years. She was employed by the Seven Hills Homeless Center in Fayetteville for two years.
Upon completion of her degree she hopes to be a traveling nurse and eventually further her degree.
Smith is a 2005 graduate of Williford High School. Her parents are Charles Smith of Hidden Valley and Marla Smith of Hardy. Her grandparents are Edgar and Rosalie Plapp of Cherokee Village.
