Ila Mae Corbett was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Mammoth Spring, Ark., the daughter of the late Arvel Hurtt and Flora Whiteside Hurtt. She died June 28, 2007, in Thayer, Mo., at the age of 78.
She was united in marriage Jan. 18, 1947, at Kansas City, Mo., to Charles H. Corbett who preceded her in death on July 22, 2004. She was a member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ. and was employed by Sears and Roebuck in Kansas City, Mo., for several years.
She is survived by: three children, Janice Hendershot and husband, Gary of Liberty, Mo., Stanley Corbett and wife, Becky of Hixson, Tenn., and Larry Corbett and wife, Peggy of Mammoth Spring; four grandchildren, Bryan Corbett and wife, Whitney of Mountain?Home, Brad Corbett and wife, Jessica of Mammoth Spring, Angie Phillips and husband,?Jerek of Raytown, Mo., and John David Hendershot and wife, Missy of Liberty, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Katy, Taylor, Jordan, Landon, Adrianna and Lillie; two brothers,?James Hurtt of Mammoth Spring and Charlie Hurtt and wife, Charlotte of Mammoth Spring; four sisters, Ann Haney and husband, Gene, Marie Wilcox and husband, Howard, Imogene Revelle and husband, Bill and June Case and husband, Don, all of Mammoth Spring; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Christopher Corbett; three brothers, Arvel, Jesse and Ronald Hurtt; and one sister, Mary Louise Hurtt.
The funeral services were held on July 2 at the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ with Lee Moses officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery at Mammoth Spring. Arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
