Helen Sue Williams, was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Myrtle, Mo., the daughter of Norman Williams and Nita Clark Williams, and died June 27, 2007, at her home in St. Charles, Mo.
She was united in marriage in 1957, at Couch, Mo., to George William Mills.
She was employed with the Oregon County R-IV School District for several years teaching high school home economics. She enjoyed her career of teaching as she helped mold young lives for their future. She owned Carr House Bed and Breakfast in Thayer for several years. She was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in West Plains, Mo.
Survivors include: three children, Michelle Brown of St. Louis, Mo., Curtis Mills of Troy, Mo., and Lora Lindsey of Augusta, Mo.; five grandchildren, Margaret Brown, Timothy Brown, Melissa Mills, Samuel Lindsey and Hannah Lindsey; one brother, Jerry Williams of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara Williams of West Plains, Mo., and Debra Williams of Springfield Mo.; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Williams, and mother, Nita Williams.
Funeral services were held June 30 at the Byrd Free Will Baptist Church at Myrtle with Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Byrd Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
