Linnwood Ashton Willis Jr., of Camp, Ark., son of Opal Lewis Willis and the late Linnwood Ashton Willis Sr., was born on Sept. 4, 1950, in Memphis, Tenn. He died June 27, 2007, at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield, Mo. at the age of 56.
He was united in marriage to Susan Maguffee in 1970.
He was a carpenter and a cattle farmer. He was past president and secretary of the Fulton County Coon Hunters Association and a member of the national chapter as well. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Heart Church of Christ.
Survivors include: his children, Eric Willis and wife Brandy of Camp and Sean Willis of Camp; his mother, Opal Willis of Camp; his grandchildren, Miranda Willis and Chelsie and Laynee Graves; his sister, Cheryl Kusmierz and husband John of St. Hewig, Texas; his brother, Carl Willis of San Diego., Calif.; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clement Opel Willis and his father, L.A. Willis.
Services were held July 1, at the Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem, with burial following in the Burks Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
