Extension election polling places announced

OREGON COUNTY -- University Extension Agriculture Specialist Stacy Hambelton has announced where the polling places for the upcoming Extension elections will be.

"The elections will be Jan. 19 through Jan. 24. Residents will vote in their voting district, the southern portion of the county or the northern portion," he said.

The northern district includes the precincts of Moore-Black Pond, Big Apple, King Woodside, Falling Spring, Piney I and Piney II. The southern district includes Johnson-Ozark, Myrtle, Cedar Bluff, Couch, Jobe Billmoore, Jeff, Thayer I and Thayer II.

Polling places are: Conoco in Koshkonong, Rivers Edge Restaurant at Koshkonong, Young's Produce at Alton, the Alton Senior Citizens Center, Mills Feed, the Oregon County Extension Office, Myrtle Fertilizer, Indian Country Junction, Fun and Friends Senior Citizens Center, Hirsch Feed and Tindle's Feed.

Candidates for the northern district are: Dale Jedicka, Lester Jett, Rodger Shelton, David Case, Darrell Strain and Wayne Adrian.

Candidates for the southern district are Nancy Alford, Russell Grooms, Phil Johnson, Junior Roberts and Debbie Strain.
