Bikers United members raised $718 for its first Pink Ribbon Ride to benefit the Ozarks Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center's Patient Emergency Fund. Members, from left, include: Lin and Sharon Jewell, Bobby Pankey, Dave Burleson; board members present: Rhonda Singletary, committee chair of the Pink Ribbon Ride, sitting on her pink and white Honda; Roy Peter president and Kristina Peter. Accepting the donation for OMC: Robin Morgan, OMC Foundation director, and Susie Kenslow, nurse manager of OMC Cancer Treatment Center. Singletary said she suggested the benefit after her sister-in-law was diagnosed with cancer last year and wanted to raise awareness of the disease while helping those who battle cancer. The event drew 124 bikers and more than 30 corporate sponsors. For more information call the Foundation at 417-257-5700.
