Arlie Mae Copeland, daughter of William L. and Cora E. Bedwell Montgomery, was born on Oct. 31, 1910, in Mitchell, Ark. She died Feb. 11, 2007, at Camdenton, Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Mo.

On Nov. 1, 1931, she was united in marriage to William E. Copeland, in Fulton County, Ark., and to this union one son, Donald, was born, who died at birth. Her husband also preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1967

In 1945, the Copelands moved from their farm in Arkansas to Kansas City, Mo.

She was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church in Kansas City, for many years.

She was a retired floral designer and enjoyed sewing and working in crafts. In 2002, she moved to Harwood Manor where she made many friends.

She is survived by nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Owen, Vester, Jake, Alvin and Kay; and two sisters, Zorrie and Emily.

Graveside services were held Feb. 15 at the Byron Cemetery with Elwin Wray officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
