ALTON -- A preliminary hearing date of Sept. 19 has been set for an Ozark Acres, Ark., man facing felony stealing and theft charges in Oregon County.
Justin E. Waddle was arraigned in Oregon County Associate Court July 5. He posted a $4,000 bond July 16.
The charges against Waddle stem from an incident at R&R Industries in Thayer on May 25.
The business was broke into and nearly $10,000 worth of merchandise was taken during the robbery. Oregon County Sheriff Tim Ward said entry to the business was gained by busting down a door. R&R Industries is located one mile east of Thayer on Highway 142.
Taken in the robbery were two lap top computers, a credit card machine, a printer, a computer modem, a Dell keyboard, speakers, tools, a saddle, an air compressor, an ATV, three guns and a 2004 flatbed trailer.
Over $3,000 in checks were also taken at the time of the robbery.
Ward said Waddle was arrested when a Sharp County Deputy, Gary Mitchell, responded to a domestic disturbance call in Ozark Acres during the early morning hours of May 26. The sheriff said when the deputy arrived at the residence he found the stolen items from the business.
Ward said all the stolen items were recovered and returned to R&R Industries.
