Harold Honeycutt, fireman for the city of Jonesboro, Ark., died on Oct. 19, 2005, at the Northeast Arkansas Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 78 years.
He was born on April 1, 1927, in Ravenden, Ark., the son of the late Elijah and Pearl Rose Honeycutt.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country during World War II.
He was a member of the West Plains Wagon Club and of the Gee and Haw Wagon Club of Salem, Ark.
He was an active member of the Thayer Church of Christ.
Survivors include one brother, Ben Honeycutt and wife, Joyce, of Jonesboro, Ark.; three sisters, Neva James and Mary Marriott both of Ravenden, Ark., and Ava White and husband, Charles, of Dickson, Tenn; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Nathaniel, Berry and Earl Honeycutt; and two sisters, Viola and Dorotha Honeycutt.
The funeral service was held Oct. 22 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with Erman Croney officiating.
Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.
Activie pallbearers were Travis James, Stanley Honeycutt, Paul Honeycutt, Dale Marriott, Glen Honeycutt and Garreth James.
Honorary pallbearers included members of the Jonesboro Fire Department.
