Meth discovered hidden in suspect's sock

After alluding authorities in Stone County, Gary Dale Cline, 45, of Calico Rock was stopped by an Izard County deputy upon entering Izard County. Cline had on his possession a white powdery type substance which field tested positive as methamphetamine, according to authorities. Deputy Jeff Shenhan discovered the substance in Cline's sock.

Cline remains in the Izard County Detention Center pending formal charges for this offense and possibly other drug related arrests, said Sheriff Tate Lawrence, adding that Cline has a history of drug arrests and is a felon.

Shannoah Lee Dillinger, 19, of Violet Hill was arrested Aug. 15 on Izard County and Horseshoe Bend warrants for theft of property, forgery and failure to appear. Dillinger remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Howard Edward Foreman, 64, of Horseshoe Bend was jailed for Horseshoe Bend authorities on charges of first degree battery. The charge relates to a stabbing incident. Foreman posted bond in the amount of $5,000 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Michael Ray Hofmann, 25, of Gassville was arrested Aug. 15 on a parole violation charge. Bond was set at $15,000 and he remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Ronnie Ray Hollowell, 37, of Mount Pleasant and Christopher Stills, 22, of Melbourne were transferred Aug. 15 from the Izard County Detention Facility to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve imposed sentences.
