Charles T. Giger, 73, of Hardy, Ark., died April 6, 2007, at his home.

He was born Consteen Giger on Aug. 20, 1933, in Poplar Creek, Miss.

He was united in marriage on Aug. 7, 1965, in Inglewood, Calif., to H. Joy Strader who preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2004.

"Chuck" was an electrician for many years and was known around Sharp County as the man from C?&?J Appliance.

Although Chuck had officially retired, he was still very loyal to many of his customers, especially to the needs of those at the Arkansas Sheriffs' Boys and Girls Ranch. Chuck was known to be a very giving person and tried tirelessly to help those less fortunate than himself.

He is survived by: three stepsons, Rye E. Strader of Oregon, Tom (E.T.) Strader of Hardy, and James (Jim) Strader of Henderson, Nev.; two brothers, Thomas (Tom) Lee Giger of Pearl, Miss.; Dennis Giger of Monroe, La.; and one sister, Louise Giger Kirby of Jackson, Miss.; two step-grandchildren, Jeannine Strader of Henderson, Nev., Seth Strader of Santa Barbara, Calif.; several nieces; nephews; and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by:?his parents, Author Giger and Celia E. Giger Miller; three brothers, A.T. "Texas" Giger, Willie B. Giger and Paul Edward Giger; and one sister, Belzie Giger King.

I lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arkansas Sheriff's Boys and Girls Ranch campus at Hardy, Ark.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Hardy.
