The Mammoth Spring High School HOSA Chapter is sponsoring a two-person, 18-Hole Golf Scramble Tournament June 30-July 1 at the Thayer Country Club Golf Course.
Entry fee is $100 per team and is limited to the first 44 teams.
Prizes will be awarded based on the number of entrants.
Enter between now and June 28 at the Mammoth Spring High School office or at the Thayer Country Club.
What is HOSA? HOSA, or Health Occupations Students of America is a national charitable organization.
According to the organization, the mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science technology education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.
Currently, MSHS offers the following health occupations related courses: Introduction to Medical Professions, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Human Behaviors and Disorders, and Medical Procedures.
Students are also given the opportunity to receive American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
HOSA's goal is to be able to provide scholarships to local students who are pursuing a career in the medical field. All monies received goes directly to providing educational and scholarship opportunities for our local HOSA members.
