Robbery suspect caught
THAYER -- Quick action by a deputy with the Sharp County Sheriff's office helped recover nearly $10,000 in cash, checks and merchandise stolen from a Thayer business last month,
Oregon County Sheriff Tim Ward said he has issued an arrest warrant for Justin E. Waddle of Ozark Acres in connection with the break-in and burglary at R&R Industries in Thayer May 25.
Ward said entry to the business was gained by busting down a door.
R&R Industries is located approximately one mile east of Thayer on Highway 142 East.
Ward said he received a call around 3 a.m. the following morning from Sharp County Deputy Gary Mitchell concerning what he believed to be some stolen items from R&R Industries.
Ward said the deputy had responded to a domestic disturbance call in Ozark Acres and when he arrived at the residence he observed the stolen items.
Items stolen from the business include $3,439 in checks and over $86 in cash. Two lap top computers, a credit card machine, a computer modem, a Photosmart printer, a Dell keyboard, speakers, coffee maker, spotlight, assorted tools, tires, a saddle, an air compressor and a Kazuua ATV.
Three guns were taken as well as a 2004 flat bed trailer.
Ward said all the stolen items have been recovered and returned to R&R Industries.
