Duane Harber of Salem, son of the late Robert Luther Harbor and Opal Gault Harber, was born Dec. 31, 1928, in Wiseman, Ark. He died March 24, 2006, at his home at the age of 77.
He was united in marriage to Margrette Farr on June 6, 1953, In Liberal, Kan. To this union, two sons were born.
He served in the United Stated Air Force during the Korean War. He was a truck driver and a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Margrette of the family home; sons, Michael Harber and wife, Becky, and Marty Harber and wife, Cathy, all of West Palm Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Angela Angelo and husband, Fred, Kendra Roberson and Duane Harber, all of West Palm Beach, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Madeline Angelo; a sister, Sibyl Gleghorn of Salem; a brother, Thurl Harber of Russellville; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harlus and Jackie Harber; and his father and mother.
Services were held March 27 at Cox-Blevins Chapel, with burial in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
