Sue Phipps, died March 20, 2006, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 50.
She was born May 6, 1955, in Mammoth Spring to Roscoe and the late Mariom Virginia Carter Vaughn.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Midway Pentecostal Church in Thayer.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin of the home in Koshkonong; one daughter, Katrina Whitmer and husband, Chuck, of Fairdealing, Mo.; one son, Joseph Phipps and wife, Lela, of West Plains; two grandchildren, Rebekah and Robert Phipps of West Plains; her father, Roscoe Vaughn of Mammoth Spring; two brothers, Leon Vaughn and wife, Bonita, of Mammoth Spring, and Ronald Vaughn and wife, Debbie of Mountain View, Mo.; two sisters, Treda Traw and husband, Nicky of Mammoth Spring and Joyce Barymon and husband, Kluck of Mammoth Spring; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
The funeral services were held March 23 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer. Burial was in the Walker Cemetery with Rev. Charles Barnett and Don Tabor officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Walter Green, J.W. Green, Clayton Howell, Paul Howell, Bill Ball, Marvin Ball and Richard Green.
