Frank L. Riley, 94, of Evening Shade, died Oct. 19, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Jan. 4, 1912, at Alabama to Frank Leslie and Alpha Omega (Haddon) Riley. He was retired from Bell Aero-space in Buffalo, N.Y., was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II.
He was a long time member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Evening Shade.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Shelledy) Riley of the home; a son, Bill Riley of Buffalo, N.Y.; one sister, Frances Haddon (Riley) Jones of Montgomery, Ala.; a grandson, and one granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth Riley; four brothers, Hobson Riley, Marion Riley, Winston Riley and James A. Riley; and a sister, Alpha Jean Riley Woodard.
The funeral services were held Oct. 24 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Brian Hull Reagan and Donald Lewis officiating.
Burial followed in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Shane Hull, Shane Cooper, Marty McFarlin, Shelton McFarlin, Pat Galligan and Matthew Galligan.
Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie Haley, Lloyd Campbell, Dr. Bob Slaughter, Frances LaPlante, Dwight Brandon and Ralph "Doc" McBride.
