Jimmie ?Joanna Pruett Adams, 75, of West Plains, Mo., died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, in West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains.
She was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Hocomo, Mo., the daughter of the late John Vernon and Nannie May Fare Pruett.
She graduated from the Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, Mo., with the class of 1948.
In 1955, she was married to Lyle Taffar. On Aug. 6, 1990, she was married to Robert Adams who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2005.
She had been a telephone operator and was a seamstress, owning her own sewing service.
She was a Baptist and had attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, Gainesville, Mo.
She is survived by: three children, Elaine Taffar and Leland Ray Taffar, wife, Penny, San Ingnacio, Belize, and Ralph Lee Taffar, wife, Cheryl of Harrison, Ark.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, William M.?Pruett, wife, Greta, and Lonnie Pruett, of West Plains; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and one granddaughter.
Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 13 at the Amy Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
