Wanda L. Rohman, 82, of Pea Ridge, Ark., formerly of Salem, was born June 21, 1925, in Wheeling, Ark., the daughter of Buford Hancock and Lottie Peart Hancock. She died ?Nov. 27, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.
She was united in marriage to George Rohman in the early 1950s in Junction City, Kan., and to this union two daughters were born. She was a third grade school teacher for 27 years. She wrote poetry and short stories, some of which were published. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are: daughters, Georgia Swingle of Salem and Christy Lacefield of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Debra Edmund, Shonda Gross, Elisha Escajeda, Stephen Swingle and Angie Hazelbacker; 15 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; her brother, Loyd Junior Hancock; and her father and mother.
Funeral services were held Nov. 30 at the Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem with burial following in the Salem Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
