The formal dining room of Ozarka College was the setting for and "Afternoon Tea" for teen girls from Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
Hosted by Joyce Goff, the tea gave the girls an opportunity to learn the history and etiquette of afternoon tea.
A music special was presented by NiKole Thornton, also from Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Tea delights such as chicken salad and cucumber tea sandwiches, pastel petit fours, brownie bites, mini blueberry and strawberry cheesecake muffins, banana nut muffins, teapot shaped sugar cookies, cheesecake squares, oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies and chocolate dipped strawberries were served from the antique buffet and placed on tables covered with mint green table cloths. Vintage china tea sets with silver spoons and lace tea napkins were provided by Goff.
Hot tea selections included country peach passion, strawberry, raspberry and cranberry-apple zingers, black cherry berry, tangerine-orange and chocolate caramel enchantment.
At the conclusion of the tea Goff gave a challenge to each young lady to incorporate the tea party into their lives as a means of serving others for the glory of God.
