STUDENTS COMPETE: Students from Thayer Elementary School recently competed in the 22nd Annual Missouri Elementary Student Mathematics Regional Contest. The contest was held at Richards R-V School in West Plains and was sponsored by the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics.The two events were problem solving and math concepts. Students from the fourth grade, front row, that participated are: Tony Fox (sixth in math concepts and 7th in problem solving), and Jordan Simpson (10th in math concepts). Fifth grade students in the second row are: Emily Floyd (6th in math concepts), Jacob Foley, (9th in math concepts and 7th in Problem solving), and Madeline Simer (9th in problem solving). Students from the sixth grade, in back, are: Nicklaus Martin (10th in math concepts and 7th in problem solving), Amber White (2nd in math concepts) and Emily Eckman. White will move on to the state finals in Springfield April 28. Photo/Thompson
