Delmos Curtis Perkey, age 87, of Cave City died March 24, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Jan. 10, 1920, at Cave City, Ark., the son of James Arden and Ella (Sharp)?Perkey.
He was a retired welder for St. Louis Ship Building and Steel, served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the VFW?Post 8042 at Evening Shade and a member of the Church of Christ in Cave City.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, David and Francis Perkey of Canton, Ga.; two brothers, Corbit Perkey of Niles, Mich., and Ray Perkey of Cave City; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Tommie (Goodman) Perkey; and one sister, Willene Ray.
The funeral services were held on March 27 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Dean Fugett officiating. Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery located north of Evening Shade with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
