Herbert Charles Peck Jr., 78, of Cherokee Village, died March 21, 2007, in Ash Flat, Ark.
He was born on May 13, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., the son of Herbert Charles Peck Sr. and Mary (Garvey)?Peck.
He served in the United States Naval Reserve for nine years. He worked as an electrical engineer with Giffels and Associates for 25 years in Detroit, Mich.
He moved to Cherokee Village 15 years ago from Detroit, Mich. and was a member of the tennis group, an avid bridge player and loved his home and garden.
He is survived by: his wife, Carol L. Little of the home; five sons, Michael, Stephen, David, Joseph, and Robert; two daughters, Susan and Eileen; one brother, Gerald Peck; one sister, Mary Frederick; 12 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Ann Marie.
A memorial service was held May 29 at 1 p.m. at the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church with Rev. Kay Burton and Rev. Bob Burton officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
The memorial arrangements were made under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.
