Ashley Smith of Salem, recently presented a psychological study at the annual conference of the Southwest Psychological Association. The organization is comprised of psychology professionals and students from a seven-state area.
Smith conducted a study entitled Hope: Academically Successful Schools Versus Academically Unsuccessful Schools, and presented her findings at the conference held April 5-7 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Smith, a junior at Williams Baptist College, is a psychology major. She is the daughter of Wendall and Tena Smith of Salem.
Smith was among four WBC students who presented their studies at the conference. Williams students have been selected to present their studies at the SWPA conference for the past several years. Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
