CONFERENCE: Sue Billiot of Smithville, member of the State Women's Committee, attended the statewide Arkansas Farm Bureau Women's Conference March 27-28 in Little Rock. Steve Ford, son of the late President Gerald R. Ford, opened the meeting with, "From the White House to Hollywood getting to the top with character." Matt Damarco, director of leadership development for the American Farm Bureau spoke about misconceptions in agriculture. Participants also learned about new Ag-in-the-Classroom materials in various workshops and how to attract and keep volunteers. More than 125 women attended. Arkansas Farm Bureau is a nonprofit, private advocacy organization of more than 230,00 Arkansas families throughout the state working to improve farm and rural life.
