Velma Spickler, 94, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., was born June 25, 1912, in Virden, Ill. the daughter of the late John and Lela (Frantz) Flory.
She died Jan. 29, 2007, at the North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Horseshoe Bend, the Lions Auxiliary and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two stepsons, Eugene Spickler of Davis, Ill., and Robert Spickler of Machesney Park, Ill.; one sister, Geraldine Smith of Springfield, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Oller; her second husband, Carl Butcher; and her third husband, Fred Spickler; four brothers and one sister.
A memorial service was held Feb. 3 at the United Methodist Church in Horseshoe Bend with Rev. Gary Goldman officiating. Memorials may be sent to the Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. Arrange-ments were under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
