Dewey Gene Oyler, age 47, of Ash Flat died Dec. 28, 2006, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Oct. 21, 1959, at Batesville, Ark., the son of Willie G. and Wanda M. (Davis) Oyler.

He was a surveyor, fishing lure manufacturer and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Melisa Oyler of the home; one stepson David Seth McCord of Ash Flat; one stepdaughter, Erin Nicole McCord of Ash Flat; one sister and brother-in-law, Carrol and Denny Gilbreath of Ash Flat; one nephew, Austin Gilbreath of Ash Flat; one niece, Beverly Gilbreath of Agnos; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held on Dec. 31 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Jack Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers were Bobby Duncan, Rex Nicholson, Gene Moore, Charles Ivey, Bo Lord and Rusty Claxton.
