While "Memory," sung by Grizabella, the former glamour cat, is the best known song in the musical, "CATS" includes 21 numbers featuring such diverse characters as two mischievous burglar cats, an old theater cat, a railway cat, a very proper fat cat, a kindly patriarch cat, a tap dancing Gumbie cat, a sexy rock star cat, a villain cat and a very magical cat. RTO's cast of 20 ranges in age from 7 to 68. Director is Caroll Lucas.
This is RTO's fourth season. Last year's major musical was "Hank Williams: Lost Highway." RTO is chartered as an Arkansas non-profit corporation and was launched with a production of Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" in 2003.
