Mary E. Russell, 86, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died May 4, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark. She was born on June 2, 1920, in Oil City, Pa., the daughter of the late Jacob B. Stover and Rebecca Eleanor (Huff) Stover.
She was married to Charles A. Russell on Nov. 18, 1950, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
She was retired from TRW and Imperial 400 Motels. She was active in the Sportsman's Club, Ace Recycling, Gem and Mineral Club, TOPS?Club and service committees. She had traveled to all 50 states; Nova Scotia, Canada; Europe; and Mexico. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village.
She is survived by: two grandchildren, Randy Lang and Debra Eberly; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends,
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jacob and Rebecca Stover; her husband, Charles A. Russell; one son, Ronald Lang; four brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services were held May 9 at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland. Burial followed on May 12 in Oil City, Pa. Arrangements were by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.
