Curtis Neal Brown, son of the late John Madison Brown and Mary Lee Pate Brown, was born Sept. 19, 1911, in Viola.
He died Aug. 19, 2006, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 94 years.
He was united in marriage Sept. 9, 1939, in Salem to Mildred A. Stone, who preceded him in death May 20, 1999.
Survivors include three children, Margaret Koontz and husband Henry of Springfield, Mo. Curtis Wayne Brown and wife, Janet E. Hockley, Texas and Carol Jean Brown of West Plains; fourteen grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Short of Salem; two sisters-in-law, Belle Brown of Jonesboro, and Sylvia Brown, of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Larry Neal Brown; three bothers, Lehman Brown, Noble A. Brown and Roscoe Delano Brown; three sisters, Lottie Brown, Evelyn Rebecca Brown and Iris Ruby Brown; one grandson, Scott Patrick Brown; and one great-grandson, David Collin Brown.
He was a member of the First Church of God, West Plains.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
