Wayne Webb of Salem, son of Jim Webb and Nancy Jones Webb, was born July 13, 1918, in Oxford, Ark.
He died July 26, 2006, at White River Medical Center, in Searcy, Ark., at the age of 88.
He was united in marriage to Naomi Maguffee on Sept. 1941. To this union one son was born. He was a farmer and a member the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Billy Wayne and Marie Webb of Coppell, Texas; his grandchildren, Paula Hutton and husband Mark of Blytheville, Ark., and Bradley Webb and wife Inge of Boca Raton, Fla.; his great-grandchildren, Joshua and Morgan Hutton and Katerina and Kassandra Webb; his brother, Doris Webb of Kansas City, Mo.; his sisters, Ersie Gilbert of Melbourne, and Norene Everett of Oxford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his brothers, Gordon, Reyburn, Raymond and Jewell Webb; his sister, Tressie Garner; and his father and mother.
The funeral services were held July 29 at Cox-Blevins Chapel with burial in the Union Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
