Woodrow (Woody) Hufstedler, 88, of Lee's Summit, Mo., died Aug. 23, 2006, at Lee's Summit Hospital.
Graveside services were held Aug. 29 at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo. Burial followed at the Veterans cemetery Officiating was Rev. Claudia Walker, Chaplain -- Lee's Summit Hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1917, in Thayer, Mo., the son of the late Ash and Tennie Hufstedler. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after almost 28 years of service.
He served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He worked for Bendix/Allied Signal for 22 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Sedalia, Mo.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Pauline E. (Cerutti) Hufstedler; sons, Glenn W. Hufstedler of Rockford, Ill., Stanley P. Hufstedler of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Darryl G. Hufstedler of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Diana Stanley of Lee's Summit; one sister, Betty Lou Cannon of Ada, Okla.; three grandsons and one great-grandson.
Both parents, two brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
Arrangements were under the direction of Langsford Funeral Home of Lee's Summit, Mo.
