Amber Francis of Kansas City, Mo., daughter of Jonita (Smith) Francis, granddaughter of the late Ted Smith and the late Orre Jennings Smith of the Mitchell Community, and Joshua Jipp, son of Randy and Kay Jipp of Aurelia, Iowa, were united in marriage May 20 at Prairie Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kan. Pastor Warren Coe of Minneapolis, Minn., officiated at the ceremony.
Bridesmaids were Sara West of Westcliffe, Col., Shea Evans of Kansas City, Kan., Brooke Ricklefs of Columbia, Mo., Jeanette Thomas of Overland Park, Kan., Elizabeth Lincoln of Cambridge, Mass., all friends of the bride, and Emily Jipp of Minneapolis, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Kamden Ricklefs, friend of the bride.
Groomsmen were Ryan Petersen of Arden, N.C., Korey Wenell of Los Angeles, Michael Thate of Minneapolis, Andreas Goldmann of Gunnershack, Germany, Andy Olson of Milwaukee, Wis., and Jake Muluihill of Minneapolis, all friends of the groom.
The pianist was Eve Goldman from Germany. Vocalists were Kelsey Evans of Liberty, Wis., and Katie Kerper of Portland, Ore., friends of the couple. A reception was held immediately following the wedding at Deer Creek Golf Club. Host were Armando and Jennifer Robles of Ontario, Canada, friends of the couple.
Josh and Amber both received their master of divinity degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill., where they met. They are currently at home in Durham, N.C., where Josh will further his studies at Duke University. Amber is an employee of the University.
