Elmer C. Wilson, of Searcy, Ark., formerly of Mammoth Spring, died Oct. 25, 2006. He was born May 20, 1918, in Manderson, Wyo., the son of Ernest and Ermine Wilson.
He was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Searcy, Chapter 382 Order of Eastern Star where he served in many offices, and the Searcy Masonic Lodge No. 49. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Army in the South Pacific.
Survivors include his wife, Elma M. Wilson of Searcy; one son, Henry Ray Elliott (Judy) of Mesquite, Texas; and one daughter, Elizabeth Wilson (Walt) of Searcy; a sister, Gladys Street of Marysville, Wash.; three grandchildren, David Elliott of Lancaster, Texas, Keith Elliott of Rowlett, Texas and Tim Elliott of Melrose, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Wilson; and sisters, Vera Dean and Elsie Knecht.
Services were held Oct. 28 at Searcy-McEuen Chapel with Bro. Keith Lunceford officiating. Entombment followed at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy
