Susan Ella "Mammy" Standerford Blevins of Oxford, Ark., daughter of the late Walter Standerford and Molly Irene Morrison Standerford, was born Dec. 24, 1915, in Spring Hill, Ark. She died March 2, 2008 in Salem, Ark., at the age of 92.
She was united in marriage to Gilbert E. "Pappy" Blevins on Oct. 5, 1932, and to this union four children were born.
During her working years, she would travel to Washington state to work the hop and fruit harvest. She also worked at the Calico Rock Nursing Home for 15 years before retiring. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Oxford.
She is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Nadine Blevins of Oxford; three daughters and one son-in-law, Anniece Reed of Oxford; Patsy Campbell of Melbourne; and Phyllis and Teddy McCurley of Oxford; two brothers, Seldon Standerford of Wentachee, Wash. and Noble Standerford of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren, Rocky Campbell, Greg Stuart, Jerry Blevins, Toby McCurley, Tabby Cooper and Monty Mc-Curley; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one sister, Gladys Pierson, three brothers: Roby, Joe, Guy Standerford.
Funeral service were held March 4 at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne. Burial followed at Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Rocky Camp- bell, Greg Stuart, Toby McCur-ley, Jerry Blevins, Monty McCurley and Rusty Camp-bell. Honorary pallbearers were: great-grandchildren, John Hatfield and Tony Cooper.
