Tommy Christopher "Chris" Pierson, 32, of Franklin died May 30. 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
He was a carpenter, did missionary work in Mexico and was a Christian.
Pierson, with Danny and Christy Hopper, shared two sons, Kyler and Dylan of Greenbriar.
He is also survived by his parents, Marilyn and Dean Batterton of Franklin, and Tommy N. Pierson of Evening Shade; two brothers, Jason Batterton of Salem and Nick Pierson of Cave City; three sisters, Navy Chief Regina Sharp of Chesapeake, Va., Sarah Anne Pierson of Franklin, and Deana Reed of Harrison; two grandmothers, Edna Pierson of Evening Shade, and Elwanda Fish of Franklin; four nephews; two nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Spellman and Maudie Sharp; his paternal grandfather, C.C. Pierson and four uncles.
The funeral services were held June 2 at the Evening Shade School gymnasium with Pastor Glenn Chadwick and Bro. Larry Weaver officiating.
Burial followed in the Williams Cemetery west of Evening Shade with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Larry Sharp, Bobby Steel, Adam Sharp, Kevin Girtman, Jason Sharp, Tim Sharp, Wes Sharp, Matt Sharp and Dustin Treadway.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Hopper, Wes Garvin, Dr. Steve Alexander, Kohn Batterton, Bobby Guthrie, Shaine Keasler, Stan Taylor and Dale Hart.
