Ruby Florence Lewis of Salem, daughter of the late Benjamin Forest and Laura Josephine Stewart McCullough, was born Dec. 8, 1913, in Morriston, Ark. She died April 7, 2006, at Jonesboro at the age of 92.
She was united in marriage to General Price Lewis on Sept. 3, 1933, at Salem and to this union two daughters were born. She worked in housekeeping for the Fulton County Hospital. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
Suvivors include daughter, Sharon Howell and husband, Earnie of Jonesboro; a sister, Obie Small of Salem; granddaughter, Shanon Johnson and husband, Tim of Jonesboro; to grandsons, Marc Sayle and Tod Howell of Jonesboro; three great-grandchildren, Price Johnson, Seth Johnson and Jori Fair, all of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Della Faye Lewis; parents; three brothers, Aud, Orbie and Kirbey McCullough; and three sisters, Ollie Wells, Edith Lynch and Gertie Sebourn.
The funeral services were held April 11 at the Salem Church of Christ with Bro. David Gibson and Bro. Mike Yates officiating. Intement was in the Salem Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.
Honor pallbearers were Francis Stephens, Kay French, Teresa Deggans, Terri Roark, Mandy Johnson, Donna McHenry, Paulette Dockins and Lynn Stallcup.
Pallbearers were Tod Howell, Tim Johnson, Todd Johnson, Price Johnson, Seth Johnson and Rick Small.
Memoials preferred to the Salem Church of Christ Building Fund.
