He was active in Shrine, and had been a member of the Tripoli, Spring River, and most recently, Scimitar Temples. He was involved in the Shrine AirEvac unit in Arkansas which provided transport to those children who otherwise would not be able to get to the Shriner's Hospitals for treatment.

After moving to Arkansas, Poulson joined the Highland, Ark., No. 2539 Order of the Elks, of which he was past Exalted Ruler. He also belonged to the American Legion and National Rifle Association.

Poulson was a senior member and past Chair of the Racine-Kenosha Section 1204 of the American Society for Quality Control (now ASQ). He was secretary of the Twin Disc Golf League for many years and also served as its president.

He was an avid Packer and Badger fan, which he proved by cheering them through good seasons and bad and particularly when it was not popular to do so.

Surviving are his children, Kenneth Jr. (Kris) Poulson of Racine, Wisc., Karen (Scott) Davis of Bristol, Wisc., and Andrew (Barb) Poulson of Racine; 5 grandchildren, Kerri, Sarah, Kelsey, Carl and Michael; and his late wife's sister and her husband, Elizabeth (Frank) Horvath of Henderson, Nev. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and his faithful Westie companion, "Buster."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marrianne, on Nov. 30, 2002; his parents; and four sisters: Ruby Elsdon, Alice Sorensen, Darlene Maurer Spaulding and Lois Poulson.

A memorial service was held at Bethania Lutheran Church in Racine, Wisc., Aug. 26 with Rev. Paul VanDeBerg officiating.
