Wyldon Marguerite Casey, 87, of Thayer was born Dec. 25, 1918, in Sylvania, Mo., and died Nov. 28, 2006, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo.

She was a nurse for 72 years.

She had many friends, in the Thayer area, Mount Vernon and Kansas City. She was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by one sister, Nita Gough of Greenfield, Mo.; three step-children; 12 grandchildren; one granddaughter of the heart -- Stephanie Reynolds; numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Mary Lou Dodson-Taylor; her husband, Henry Casey; five siblings, Helen Gilliman, George Taylor, Ward Taylor, Alden Taylor and Otho Taylor; one step-son, Michael R. Casey; one grandson of the heart, Michael Casey.

Graveside services were held Dec. 4 at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Greenfield, Mo. Arrangements were under the direction of Clary Chapel of Mammoth Spring.
