Pearl Marie Anderson, 95, of Alton, Mo., was born Oct. 26, 1908, in Ripley County, Mo., and died Dec. 17, 2003, at the Brooke Haven Nursing Home in West Plains, Mo.

She married Joseph Anderson Aug. 16, 1930. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who leaves any precious memories for her family and friends. She was of the Assembly of God faith having been a Christian since an early age. She was instrumental in helping establish Bardley Assembly of God Church. At the time of her death she was a member of Alton Assembly of God Church. She was Postmistress of Pine Post Office from 1960 until her retirement.

Survivors include three daughters -- Joey Riggs of Murrayville, Ill., Patsy Chapman and husband, Marty, of Springfield, Ill., and Bonnie Wood and husband, Ron, of Chathan, Ill.; one son, Bob Anderson and wife, Jeanie, of Alton, Mo.; eight grandchildren -- Sherry Powers, Vicki Mathews, Debbie Gaines, Kim Tighe, Karla Andrews, Gaile Blair, Rodney Wood, and Kathy Gehrig; one sister, Thelma Bates of Alton, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law -- Beatrice O'Dell of Doniphan, Mo., Barbara O'Dell of Manchester, Ill., and Bessie Anderson of West Plains; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents -- Phillip and Mary Johnson-O'Dell; her husband, Joseph Anderson; one grandson, David Alan Anderson; one sister, Lois Bell; and four brothers -- Sam, Willard, Phillip and Earl.

The funeral was Dec. 20 at Clary Funeral Home in Alton, Mo., with Keith Combs officiating. Interment followed in Bardley Cemetery, with arrange- ments by Clary Funeral Home.
