Eugene Junior Henslee, 71, son of Presley Wilcer and Vada Louise Potter Henslee was born Aug. 3, 1933, at Jay, Okla. He died April 15, 2005, at Salem, Ark.

He married Elsie May Brancum July 13, 1953, at Melbourne, Ark., and to this union six children were born.

He spent his working years as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and logger.

He was a member of Saddle Baptist Church in Saddle, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Henslee of Wiseman, Ark.; two sons -- Wade Henslee of Wiseman, Ark. and Scott Henslee and wife, Melissa, of Barbee, Ark.; three daughters -- Linda Mabes and husband, Richard, of Salem, Barbara Dockins and husband, Jackie, of Heart, Ark., and Teresa Hellums and husband, Ricky, of Salem; two brothers -- Dennis Wayne Henslee of Dowagiac, Mich.; and Lennis Roy Henslee of West Plains, Mo.; eight sisters -- Pauline Lawyer of Salem; Angy Allard of Mountain Home, Ark.; Lorine Elliott of Mountain Home, Ebb Glisson of Salem, Kathleen Jones of Mammoth Spring, Marlene Fish of Salem, Phyllis Owens of Wideman, Ark., and Darlene Neiderbrach of Salem; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rita Fay Henslee; a brother, Dean Henslee; and a sister, Cecil Henslee.

The funeral service was on April 17 at Saddle Baptist Church with Gary Arnold and Johnnie Long officiating.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.

Pallbearers were James Vaughn, Farrell Durden, Randy Crouch, Bennie Crouch, Doug Ray, Dale Thompson, Kelly Russell, Lennie Henslee and Dewey Burch.

Memorials are preferred to Saddle Baptist Church Building Fund.
