Sarah Irene Roberts Bristow, 90, of Cave City, died March 16, 2004, at Cave City Nursing Home in Cave City.
She was born Nov. 1, 1913, at Peace Valley near Ash Flat to Dee and Laura Armstrong Roberts.
She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include three sons -- Gordon Bristow, Jimmy Bristow and Junior Bristow, all of Cave City, Ark.; five daughters -- Minnie Estes, Delene Rogers and Donna Ables all of Cave City, Betty Goodman of Evening Shade, and Bessie Sue Booth of Moko, a brother, Herbert Roberts of Jonesboro, 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Tillman Bristow a son Bill Bristow; four brothers - Oscar Roberts, Ernest Roberts, J.W. Roberts and Glenn Roberts; a sister, Marie Guiltner; two great-grandchildren -- Jessica Goodman and Josh Garrison.
The funeral was March 18 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with her grandson, Wayne Goodman officiating.
Burial followed in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat. Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were her grandsons: James Estes, John Ables, Dennis Rogers, Terry Goodman, Quinton, Bristow and Byron Bristow.
Honorary pallbearers were Stanley Booth, Kevin Bristow, Billy Wilson, Jody Bristow, Jimmy Varner, Pete Ring and Dr. Andy Davidson.
