Escape 2004 inserted in this issue

Thursday, March 25, 2004

Escape 2004 is inserted in this issue of The News and this week's issues of its sister publications, The South Missourian News and the Villager Journal. Designed for visitors and potential visitors to the eastern Ozarks, Escape is also being inserted in the Jonesboro Sun, and bundles are also being taken to area tourist information centers and chamber offices for travelers and vacationers.

Escape is the award-winning annual guide to special places and events in Sharp, Fulton and Izard counties in Arkansas, as well as Oregon County in Missouri. Visitors can enjoy scenic beauty, recreation, adventure, historic sites and a wide variety of accommodations from Calico Rock to Williford, from Alton to Cave City.

Festivals and special events fill the calendar year round, especially in the spring and fall, when the biggest challenge is not finding something to do but choosing from so many great events.

"Escape is not just for visitors," said Janie Flynn, publisher of Areawide Media. "We hope the publication will help area residents discover -- or rediscover -- special places to visit and fun things to do right in their own back yard."

Readers are encouraged to keep Escape as a handy reference guide to special events throughout the year. And readers can find out more details and keep up with changes to the calendars of events year round through the pages of the Villager Journal, The News and The South Missourian News.
