Ward Roe Willison, 90, son of the late Issac Newton Willison and Ada Powell Willison, was born Oct. 4, 1913, in Fulton County, Ark., and died March 4, 2004, in West Plains.

He was married March 17, 1935, in Fulton County to Lottie Mae Todd. He was a farmer, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all and was always willing to help when needed. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and was a song leader.

Survivors include his wife, Lottie Mae Willison of Mammoth Spring; three daughters -- Clara Crabtree of West Plains, Juanita Hunt of Mammoth Spring, and Joyce Hollis of West Plains; seven grandchildren -- Debbie Rose and husband, Dennis, of Mammoth Spring, Delores Allen and husband, Mark, of Poplar Bluff, Ricky Willison and wife, Beth of Walnut Ridge, Keven Dillard and special friend, Ann Ford, of Mammoth Spring, Galen Hollis and wife, Shelly of Thayer, Tina Berkshire and husband, Jim of West Plains, and Kelly Hollis of West Plains; two step-grandchildren -- Louise Alexander of Thayer and Romona Bailey and husband, Terry, of Barling, Ark.; eight great-grandchildren -- Holly, Amanda, Jeffrey, Cody, Kara, Laken, Cameron, and Jordan; two step great-grandchildren -- Eric and Mickey; two sisters -- Edith Sloan and Grace Porter, of Thayer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frank Willison; three half brothers, and six half sisters.

The funeral was March 9 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring with arrangements by Carter Funeral Home of Thayer. Pallbearers were Charles Butler, Mark Anderson, Joe Flynn, Jack Walling, Steve Atkins and Bill Pace.
