Nova Everett, daughter of the late John Henry Stuart and Clara McGonigal Stuart, was born Jan. 31, 1920, in Morriston, Ark., and died March 12, 2004, in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 84 years.
She was married Aug. 1, 1937, in Salem, to Edward Everett.
She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress, making wedding gowns and formals for many years.
She was a member of the Mammoth Spring Garden Club for many years.
Survivors include a son, Roger Everett and wife, Janet, of Fulshear, Texas; a daughter, Rhea Dean Dills and husband, Tom, of Zachary, La.; six grandchildren -- Tina Hatten of Alton, Chris Dills of Owasso, Okla., Crystal Dills of Mammoth Spring, Nikki Dement of Arlington, Texas, Shawna Davis of College Station, Texas, and Chad Everett of Charlotte, N.C.; six great-grandchildren -- Lauren and Zane Hatten, Blake and Katelyn Dills, Cline Parker Dement and Rylan Presley Davis; three sisters -- Ethel Lung of Eaton Rapids, Mich., Edna Cozort of Elk Hart, Ind., and Wanda Coggins of Salem, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, two sisters -- Marie Ryan and Beatrice Pierce; and two brothers -- Elmer and Ernest Stuart.
The funeral was held March 14 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with the Rev. Darrell Strain officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery located at Salem, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer, Mo.
