H. Frances Snider, 87, died July 2, 2004, in Bixby, Okla. Born Jan. 20, 1919, in Newcastle, Ind., she was the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Marlatt Harlow. She lived in Newcastle until her marriage to George Snider Oct. 13, 1939. They lied in Indianapolis where she worked as a bookkeeper/ accountant. Upon retirement in February 1977, she moved to Cherokee Village where she enjoyed the South Golf Course for many years. In December 2002, the Sniders moved to Bixby, Okla., to be near their son, Tom.
She was an active member of the Cherokee Village Ladies Golf Association, the United Methodist Women, the Daughters of the American Revolution and Cherokee Village United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, George, of Bixby, Okla.; two sons -- George Mike Snider of Indianapolis, Ind., and W. Thomas Snider of Bixby, Okla.; three granddaughters -- Michelle and Susan of Indianapolis, and Brittney of Bixby; and a grandson, Ryan, of Bixby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held Aug. 13 at Cherokee Village United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited.
