OC Libraries extend hours

Thursday, September 2, 2004

OREGON COUNTY -- New extended hours of operation will begin Sept. 1 at three Oregon County Public Libraries -- Myrtle, Koshkonong and Thomasville.

The libraries' extended hours of service were made possible with funds the Oregon County Library District received from state equalization programs. According to Oregon County Library Coordinator Judy Wright, the program is designed for public libraries in counties where it is more difficult to provide resources and these funds are a supplement to the per capita payments made to all libraries certified to receive state aid.

New hours at the Koshkonong Library are: Tuesday -- 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Wednesday -- 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Friday -- 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Myrtle Library: Tuesday -- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday -- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday -- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thomasville Library: Tuesday -- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday -- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursday -- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
