Memory Walk planned at WP

Thursday, September 9, 2004

WEST PLAINS -- Sue Forschler of Shady Oaks in Thayer and Tammie Williams from Shepherd's View in Alton have been selected as the Oregon County representatives for this year's Memory Walk

The walk is planned for People Park in West Plains Oct. 2. According to Forschler, this walk will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, Southwest Missouri Chapter. She said more than 22,000 families in southwest Missouri are currently struggling with the Alzheimer's disease. Memory Walk will provide funding to continue programs and services supporting these individuals.

Refreshments and entertainment booths will start beneath the pavilion at 9 a.m.

West Plains Mayor Joe Paul Evans is the honorary chairman for this year's walk. There will be door prizes and team recognition at the pavilion for those involved in the walk.

To contact Forscher to be involved in the Memory Walk call 417-264-7256 or Williams at 417-778-7959.
