Elizabeth Evelyn Honeycutt Rutledge Dean, 74, daughter of the late Hiram Honeycutt and Gertie Jones Honeycutt was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Wirth, Ark., and died Nov. 26, 2003, in Monette, Ark. She was married Nov. 5, 1947, in Pocahontas to Lawrence Rutledge. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors are nine children -- Teletha Wieland of Williford, Ark., James Lesley Rutledge of Newark, Calif., Gilbert Rutledge of Imboden, Ark., Jerry Rutledge of Highland, Mary Owens of Tulsa, Chris Helt of Flippin, Ark., Deborah Smithee of Monette, Margaret Grable of Hoxie, and Alma Schofield of Wichita; three brothers -- Hiram Honeyccutt of Wirth, Les Honeycutt of Ash Flat, and Noel Honeycutt of Thayer; 29 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and Lawrence Rutledge of Napa, Calif., father of her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dennis Rutledge; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Wesley Honeycutt; six sisters, Zelda, Ava, Anola,Ora Lee, Robbie Jean and Doris.
Services were Nov. 30 a Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. Burial was in Jeff Cemetery at Thayer, with arrangements by Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Donald Helt, Terry Garrison, Chad King, Jimmy Rutledge, Mark Rutledge and Larry Jones.
