Delia Catharine Willis, 81, of Salem, Ark., was born on Jan. 25, 1923, in Malakoff, Texas, daughter of the late Junious Emery and Lucy Viola Turner Barnett.
She died April 28, 2004, at Mountain Home, Ark.
She married Jessie Edward Willis April 10, 1947, at Dallas, Texas, and to this union a son was born.
She spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and a baby sitter for a lot of children in the Salem area.
She was a member of the Salem First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her son, Victor Willis and wife, Elizabeth, of Milton, Fla., a stepson, James Willis and wife, Nell, of Marshall, Texas; a stepdaughter, Barbara Allen of Barker, La.; seven step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers -- Robert and Johnny Barnett and a sister, Rebecca Mae (Tina) Barnett.
The funeral was May 3 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Ark. Interment was in Salem Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Roger Kinder, Terry Kinder, Rollin Kinder, Adam Kinder, Kevin Kinder and Bill Worsham.
Honorary pallbearers were Boyd Lavern Kinder, Norman Freeman, Thomas Bassham, Woodrow Hodges, Gary Guiltner, Jim Mefford and Leroy Freeman.
Memorials preferred to the Salem Cemetery Association or to a charity of your choice.
